#7 Ongoing Bumpy Ride
On most Mondays, I plan to publish a past communication or two about Eric Russ and his Health Journey that originally appeared in Caring Bridge. For anyone with a “health opportunity” as my nurse friend calls it, I hope these posts are helpful.
Bumpy Ride Yesterday
I’m writing this entry early this morning, before I’ve had a chance to speak with Eric, but I wanted you to know that yesterday afternoon, he was requesting no visitors. He was not feeling well from some of the new medicine or the interaction of the medicine. He just said he “wasn’t very good company” and needed to rest.
I will find out more when he wakes.
love,
Terri
Sleepyhead
Yesterday Eric was in a lot of pain, and didn’t want visitors. Today the shot they gave Eric to start the hormone therapy (to reduce the size of the main tumor as well as the cancer that has migrated) is making him sleepy and he wants to rest. He is very tired. This is predictable and expected and (they say) temporary. So thank you for sending your well-wishes to him over the air waves today. He is resting more comfortably today.
love,
Terri
